All our tannins are vegetable, and the tanning process is done using natural elements. Our leathers are tanned with tannins obtained from chestnuts. The transformation from raw hides into leather is a slow process done in wood barrels while respecting the environment.
Vegetable tanned leather is natural and unique in its structure, colour and feel. We use cow and goat leather. Most of our leathers are processed unfinished. Small veins and little pits are natural elements of the leather, revealing the original character of the processed hides.
The vegetable tanning process and the variety of natural extracts lead to light tonal variations and an evolving colour profile. Our brownunfinished leather will darken over time and develop its own patina.
Vegetable tanned leather is stiff, strong and persistent. It will become softer and develop its own individual character over time.
